the name of a breed covered by Regulation (EU) 2016/1012 of the European Parliament and of the Council that is listed in breeding books or breeding registers. For species not covered by that Regulation, it means the name of a breed which is listed in breeding books or breeding registers under national law. Such a name shall be in the language or languages in which it is listed at the date of application for the registration of the geographical indication concerned
